Tension Attention! Dancing Embroidery!

My Master’s degree project addresses the field of Embroidery. The thread is central in the work and plays a key role in a simple mechanism, created with different material combinations. When you interact with the pieces they respond by applying and releasing tension from various threads. This causes the embroidery to dance, move, rise, or collapse. The work invites the viewer into a playful loop of actions and reactions. Please play with the works and have fun, but be kind and take of your shoes before stepping on the floor pieces.

Thank you
